Comparison: Zoya Charla, Essence Choose Me, Orly Halley's Comet, & Wet n Wild Teal of Fortune

This is my first comparison post, and I decided to compare these polishes because of a recent haul. In a recent haul, I purchased some Orly polishes including Halley's Comet. I did not intend to keep it and decided to give it to my sister because I realized it looked exactly like Zoya Charla and Essence Choose Me from my color wheels. Another blogger mentioned that Wet N Wild Teal of Fortune is Zoya Charla's cousin polish. To me, in person and from the photos, the Zoya, Essence, and Orly look EXACTLY the same. I could not tell them apart. The Wet N Wild is no where near the same. It has a more dark blue base and the "shimmer" is not as noticeable. In addition, all of the polishes applied relatively the same and dried in about the same amount of time.

I like this comparison because Essence was only 99 cents where as the Orly polish was 10 dollars and the Zoya polish was 8 dollars.  That is a huge price difference. I was so mad when I got the Orly polish and realized it was the same as two other polishes that I already own haha. I even did google searches of swatches of the Orly polish and didn't even recognize the similarities before I purchased them.

So what do you think? Do you think the three polishes look the same?

Orly, Essence and Zoya look the same in my opinion. I can´t notice any differences between them.

Zoya Charla is my favorite polish! Very pretty swatches.

Yes, the three definitely look the same... I heard the same thing about Teal of Fortune... to me, it doesn't look anything alike... similar i guess, but not alike

Maybe someone would argue that they are cousins but honestly the three look almost exactly alike. I mean if you hadn't labeled them I would not have even given a second thought to their being different brands. I'd say dupes is what it looks like to me.

What are you going to do with them? Are you going to keep your favorite and gift the others to family/friends or keep them all as backups?

Yeah, the big trio dupe of last year were Charla - Halley's Comet and OPI Catch me in your net. And then million more followed. I did a nail to nail comparison of Orly and Essence and yeah, they're pretty much the same. Perhaps Essence is a tad bit greener because the glitter is slightly different, but nothing major. Still, it's a beautiful colour. :)
It's strange no comparison post popped up when you googled the Orly. I remember there were quite a few when they got out. Pity, I hate buying dupes too!

Love the color! & I can't tell them apart. I think I'm going to pick up the cheaper one.

Yes, they look almost identical!

WOW! I had no idea those three were so dupey!

My word - they do look the same don't they? I've just bought Charla so interesting to see what it looks like one. Can't believe you can buy polishes for .99 cents!

@ Nailstyle- www.ulta.com. All Essence polishes are 99 cents!

@ Deja Vu- I am going to give the Orly to my sister or save for a giveaway since I only used it this one time. The other two I will keep!

Yeap - was a hot dup thing going on to come up with comps for Zoya Charla and OPI Catch Me In Your Net. I just saw one at a drugstore yesterday (forget who by - might have been Rite Aide I am thinking) and it was a Wet & Wild that was a different name yet of this one that looks a ton like these too. It's probably the Wet N Wild 'real' dup of this crop vs the one that you have shown here. We never have Essence here where I live.

All three are dupes in my eyes I'm glad I only have one I hate having dupes too! Great comparison!

Wow, they look so alike. It's good to know I don't need all three! Jesse's Girl also makes a polish that is reminiscent of these three, from what I've seen.

Thank you for this comparison!

This is so nice! I did one similar not long ago, but mine didn't turn out as nice as this one

Hahaha wow, they are all totally clone-ish -- but I love 'em so it's a win either way! Did you have any problem w/ flaking on the Halley's? Mine started peeling off in big chunks after a few days, it was really weird (not sure if my nails were being super oily or what)

I know this sounds weird, but I love the polish in the bottle but on the nail I could pass. There's a few polishes like that with me and I don't even know why. It's strange I know.
