This is two coats of China Glaze It's A Trap-eze with one coat of matte top coat. I adore this polish! It reminds me of Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop but with a white base. I was a little disappointed in this polish though. It began to chip for me within an hour or so. I suspect its because of the matte top coat or maybe this polish doesn't work well with my "nail chemistry". I stamped on the subtle bows with Kleancolor White and Konad stamping plate M-59.

I really like this layering combo... I started with two coats of Zoya Frida (a greenish jelly), which I did NOT like on its own. So I decided to add two thin coats of Pretty and Polished Dalmatian Nation (I purposely avoided using the large round black glitter in this polish)... I love how it turned out. I like how the green shows through the white jelly base of Dalmatian Nation. Photo shows one coat of top coat.

What do you think of this combo?

For this Christmas paisley print, I started with two coats of Glitter Gal Red Sparkle. This polish IS the PERFECT red! I absolutely love it! If you are still on the hunt for the perfect red, try this polish. You will not be disappointed. I stamped on the paisley print with Bundle Monster BM-315 and Konad stamping polish in white. I finished with one thick coat of top coat. My top coat faded the white print and made it turn a dull red or muted the white. I think it was because I used an old bottle of top coat.

These will be my nails for Christmas! I hope they last. Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

I'm really liking my "ugly" Christmas reindeer sweater nails! I started with two coats of ManGlaze Mayonnaise. I alternated stamping the "sweater" pattern with Konad stamping polishes in red and green and Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-315. I stamped on the "reindeer" design using the same polishes and Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-214.

Merry Christmas!!

Amber from Amber Did It! recently did a Mr. Grinch nail design! It was awesome! If you haven't seen it, click here to see it. I wanted to do some Mr. Grinch nails, but I have no talent when it comes to free handing or using a paint brush. I took the easy route and did a jelly sandwich!

This is two coats of Pretty and Polished Slime Time, one coat of KBShimmer Candy Cane Crush, and one last thin coat of Pretty and Polished Slime Time. Photos show one coat of top coat.

Happy Holidays and don't be a Mr. Grinch! =)

Today I have two polishes from Naild' It Unique Nail Polish

You can visit her Etsy shop by clicking here. She is currently on vacation mode, but she has plans to open on the 20th of this month. You can also purchase her polishes on Overall Beauty, Llarowe, and Mei Mei's Signature.

You can also visit Naild' It on Facebook by clicking here!

First up is a great polish for the holiday season! This is two coats of Nail'd It Rudolf Knows with two coats of top coat. This polish has a lovely red jelly base loaded with fuchsia and red holo glitter. Application was simple, and the glitter applied pretty evenly with no struggle. The formula was great--not too thick or thin.

This is two coats of Nail'd It Light show with two coats of top coat. I like how it has a subtle base color but loaded with pops of funky, bold, neon glitters! The base color is hard to describe. I think it is a mixture of a soft grey and purple... It is loaded with (I would guess) about 20 different glitters. Application was surprisingly easy considering how much glitter is in the polish. I like how it is not overloaded with glitter. There are "gaps",  so the awesome colored base shows through. I am wearing this polish now, and it has a bit of a texture feel. I would suggest using gelous instead of regular top coat.

Today I have swatches of four polishes from All That Glitters Holiday, Celebrate Collection!!!!

You can visit All That Glitters' shop by clicking here.
You can also visit her on Facebook by clicking here!

First up is my favorite of the four! This is three coats of All That Glitters Cool Yule with one coat of top coat. This baby blue applied with perfection! The glitter came out easily with no digging. I like how the glitters are sporadic and not overwhelming so that baby blue base can show. I love the combo of lavender, royal blue and turquoise glitter. It reminds me of winter, ice skating, and snow -- a perfect holiday winter polish!

This is two coats of All That Glitters Goody Gumdrops with one coat of top coat. This polish applied well. The glitter came out in abundance. I adore the pink base with the pop of red glitter.

This one is my second favorite out of the four!!!! This is three coats of All That Glitters Eggnog Wasted with one coat of matte top coat. I had good coverage with two coats but added a third. This polish's white base loaded with green, red, gold, and copper glitter screams Christmas!

The last polish is a Fall inspired polish named All That Glitters Autumn Bomb. This is one coat over OPI What The Shrek. My photo doesn't show off the awesome copper, orange, green and gold glitters well enough. As you can see, tons of glitter comes out with a single coat. So you can probably wear it on its own.

These polishes were sent for review.

I'm really digging this polish! This is two coats of KBShimmer Black to Business over a white base. This polish was a special polish she included in her Black Friday/Cyber Monday holiday deal... Loving the black, blue, and purple matte glitter together! Did you get this polish during the sale?

I'm finally back with a blog post!!! I have been away for the last week visiting family for Thanksgiving! This is the mani I wore all week. (although it didn't really last the full week).

On the ring and thumb, I started with two coats of OPI Sparrow Me The Drama. I stamped on the owl print with Kleancolor black and DRK-B stamping plate. I added an extra pop of color on the owl's eyes with a dotting tool and Zoya Lolly. On the other nails, I started with two coats of Zoya Lolly (which I am disappointed in because I had tip wear the next day. Within two-three days, I had noticeably chipped nails. UGLY---especially when you are forced to wear for a full week). I stamped on the design with Kleancolor black and DRK-A stamping plate. I finished with one coat of top coat.

Today I have a review on two polishes from Maya Cosmetics. You can visit Maya Cosmetics by clicking here. You can also visit Maya Cosmetics on Facebook. Her polishes retail for $8.

First up is two coats of Maya Cosmetics Shindig over Zoya Lolly and Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream. This polish has a clear base filled with small gold and white (almost clear looking) square glitter. The polish also has a very pretty gold shimmer (see close up photo below). This polish reminds me of winter (especially worn over a light blue). Application was easy, and a good amount of glitter comes out with each coat. The shimmer is more noticeable in person. My photo seems to wash it out a little.

Check out Pointless Cafe's swatches of Maya Cosmetics Shindig over black and gold! Also, check out Ashley is Polish Addicted's swatches over an orangey base. They are stunning!

This is three coats of Maya Cosmetics Ignis. This polish has a fiery orange-red base with a subtle appearance of multi-colored iridescent flakes. Photo shows one coat of top coat. This polish was a tad thicker than Shindig, but it did not effect the application. This polish screams Fall to me!

These polishes were sent for review.

I started with three coats of a lovely light purple holo polish, Mentality Nail Polish Fervor. (Click here to visit Mentality's Big Cartel Shop.) Photo above shows no top coat.

Next I stamped on the swirl design with DRK-B stamping plate and Kleancolor Metallic Purple. I added a little extra detail with a dotting tool and Ulta Quick Silver and Ulta Gold Rush. Photo above shows no top coat.

Here is the final mani with a coat of top coat. As you can see, the top coat smeared the stamped design. I think its cool how the top coat slightly smeared all the stamped dots evenly. It gives it a unique look. (I prefer how the mani looked pre-top coat)

I absolutely LOVE this mani! I have been wearing it since Sunday, and I will be very sad when I remove it this weekend. My inspiration for this mani came from Work Play Polish! Click here for the link to her blog post about it.

I started with two coats of OPI Did You Hear About Van Gogh? I stamped on the stripes and leopard print with Kleancolor Black and DRK-A stamping plate. I filled in the gaps of the leopard print with a nail brush and Konad stamping polish in red. My thumbs were a leopard print as well. I just love that pop of red against the soft tan and black! I finished the mani with one coat of matte top coat.

Over one coat of base coat (that completely dried), I added one coat of Mei Mei's Signature Black Crackle polish. Over that, I added one thin coat of Pretty and Polished Cheer Camp. Photos show one coat of top coat. I think this mani has a unique look. Thoughts?

Wearing Purple for a Reason

I don't have anything crazy today. I have been pretty lazy lately. This is two coats of Nailventurous The Shimmer Effect with two coats of top coat. I haven't worn one of my homemade polishes in a while (I do *not* sell polishes anymore. I haven't sold polishes since roughly July timeframe). I thought now was the perfect time to wear one! I chose this one for a reason: It's purple! A group of people are wearing purple on November 8 in an effort to join together in a No Hate Movement.

I wanted to point out that this polish was made back in June/July timeframe. Guess what? It's not perfect. It separated. The good thing is that it shook up in less than a minute! I have been wearing this polish since Sunday. No complaints. I have many polishes including industry brands that separate. Shaking fixes this "problem" with all my industry brand polishes as well as homemade polishes. It's interesting that some polishes do this while others do not. Just thought I would share!

I saw a few shatter (polish) half moon manis on Pinterest that I really liked (I especially liked one in particular. Click here to see it!). I don't normally do half moon manis. I am horrible at them. It never fails; the polish always leaks under the sticker. I decided to give it a try using a magnetic polish instead of a shatter polish. It looked better in my head, but now that it is executed, I am not sure I like the final look. What do you think about this look? (I thought about trying this with a magnetic polish that is similar to the color of the base so it blends more.)

The base is two coats of China Glaze 2NITE (LOVE this polish by the way), and the tip is a (goldish brown) magnetic polish called Toasted. This polish was bought from You Mix Cosmetics when they use to sale them.
