OPI Black Spotted

OPI Black Spotted is the coolest polish ever!!!!! I was lucky to get it from an amazing polish friend, and I am so happy!!! (Thanks Kelly!)

I started with two coats of Sinful Colors Innocent, a lovely lime green polish. This polish is a great summer shade, but it stained my nails. =(  It looked ugly....but no big big deal. It was almost gone after the next polish change.  I take that back hahaha... The staining is still there..

I added one coat of OPI Black Spotted. You apply this polish just like any other polish. I didn't use a special technique. My pinky is messed up in the middle because I bumped it when it was still wet.  I liked that I could overlap the polish when applying (unlike crackle polish where you have to be careful not to paint the same spot twice.). You can see in my photo Black Spotted did crackle some. I was told it was because my base coat wasn't dry enough. Next time I will make sure my base coat is completely dry. This should correct the cracking? I recommend thin coats with this polish. The thinner the coat, the better it works in my opinion.

Overall, this polish did not disappoint. I see myself wearing it many more times! The effect is amazing! It reminds me of oil!

This is a crazy but really neat effect, does it disperse like an oil kind of when you paint it on?

Agreed! It looks really cool. I was hoping to run across this spotted polish when I went to the beauty store today but didn't see it. I'll just have to find online I suppose :) but very cool over a bright color like that

This definetly is the coolest polish ever!! Looks like some kind of chemical spill on your nails!! Love it :)

Personally I really love those cracks. They don't look like any of the crackled polishes! They are totally different and in my opinion make this mani real special!
But I love this spotted effect. I must give it a try soon! Thanks for the tips!

Sweet! I love mine, too! I did nearly the same color combo the other day :). I really want to try it over Ozotic 505, so it really looks like an oil spill! Or glitter! So many options ;)

I like the combo! But you do need to let the base dry soooo long to be sure it won't crack but just spot.

Love this look!! I snagged a bottle on *bay and it is SO cool!

I found that using OPI brightener over a basecoat helps reduce staining a bit.

I think the mix spots/crackle looks cool.

Ahh I want Spotted too, it really has a cool effect! And the basecolor that you used I wouldn't easily wear on its own, but like this? Love it!

This looks cool! I actually didn't mind the cracks in it. I thought it added to the look. :P

I absolutely love that Spotted polish over bright neons like you have here! I haven't scored a bottle yet... hoping this comes to North America, but I know there's some weird chemical in it that's preventing that from happening! Boo!

Sinful Colors Innocence stained my nails too! I think it might need a double or even triple base coat to prevent it. My nails looked pretty bad too for a while.... And it's green so it doesn't always look like stainage but sometimes like a fungus:/..... I think I even tried the lemon juice technique. I'm not sure if it worked or not...
