Today I have a polish by SYN Cosmetics called Sun Kissed, a color changing polish activated by sunlight. It appears clear in the bottle and applies clear on your nail. (See photo above)

My base coat is two coats of Spoiled Correction Tape and topped with four coats of SYN Cosmetics Sun Kissed. I recommend waiting in between each coat so dry time is quicker. I did get an awesome shift in color using four coats (see photo below). I would recommend three to four coats for the best shift in color.

Once in the sunlight, the change happens instantly!!!!! It is pretty neat. You can turn your nail where the shade hits one side and the sun hits the other, and it shows the difference. (Check out this cool video on SYN Cosmetics website.) The color shift is awesome! The more sunlight, the better the shift.

Just make sure to get your entire nail when applying Sun Kissed with all coats. You can see around the base of my nail, I missed some spots (See photo below). In the sunlight, you can see pink specks of the pigment on your nail.  Photos show no top coat.

Showing my love for the Fall!

This is two coats of Orly Fowl Play. I stamped on the hearts with Konad stamping polish in yellow and Bundle Monster BM-202. I stamped the hearts on each nail twice, which proved to be a bit difficult for me LOL. One stamp wasn't dark enough, so I tried my luck with stamping it a second time. Photos show one coat of top coat.

Happy Friday!

I started with two coats of KBShimmer Quantum Leaf (photo below shows one coat of top coat). I absolutely adore this polish. I am not usually an orange/yellow lover, but I fell in love with this. It screams FALL!!!! I added one coat of matte top coat. I stamped on the design with Bundle Monster BM-225 stamping plate and Konad stamping polish in red.

I like the side ways photos. What do you think?

Colorful Gradient

This was my first time trying a gradient with this many colors. I normally only do two colors. I think it turned out okay for my first time. I started with a white base-- one coat of Spoiled Correction Tape. I did the gradient with a sponge, China Glaze Papaya Punch, OPI Funky Dunkey, and Konad stamping polishes in yellow, blue, and dark green. I sponged the colors over each other three to four times to achieve this darkness.

In order to hide my lack of blended colors (haha), I stamped on this design with Bundle Monster BM-306 and Konad stamping polish in white. Photos show one coat of top coat.

Update: For this, I started with a white base color. Then painted all the colors on the sponge and then sponged it on my nails. (I saw this technique on Chalkboard Nails. She had great success with it. Me, not so much LOL). I didn't get a good blend, so I think I will stick to my normal way next time, which is this tutorial by the Nailasaurus.

I started with three coats of Butter London All Hail the Queen. I stamped on the leaf print with Bundle Monster BM-221 and Konad stamping polish in red and yellow, China Glaze Papaya Punch, and Kleancolor Metallic Brown. Photos show no top coat.

Happy Fall Ya'll! =)

I started with three coats of OPI DS Magic (an amazing polish by the way!). I stamped on the design with China Glaze OMG and Bundle Monster BM-321 stamping plate. Can you see the subtle holo in the stamp? I am really impressed with how well China Glaze OMG stamped! I think I tried it before, but I don't remember it being this awesome.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! For this mani, I started with two coats of Polished Components Office Dust with one coat of matte top coat. You can see a swatch of that below. Its an awesome metallic grey polish loaded with a lovely shimmer.

For the nail design, I used the littler side of my stamper. I stamped on the design with three different polishes trying not to overlap too much: Ulta Quick Silver, Ulta Metallic Mania, and Ulta Gold Rush. I used the chain looking design on the DRK-A stamping plate. I did not add a top coat.

(P.S. I wore this mani for six days and had very very little tip wear. Some of my stamped designs wore off---probably because I didn't use a top coat, but the polish remained strong)

Today I have seven polishes from Vivid Lacquer to show you. Not only does she sell polishes, but she also sells stamping plates. I have the two she offers, and I like them!

First up is three coats of Vivid Lacquer Fairy Bread with two coats of top coat. Of course, I loved this one (I am a sucker for white glitter polishes).

This polish is super gorgeous!!!!! This is one coat of Have Fun Storming The Castle over a black base. Photos show one coat of top coat. Love that golden shimmer!! This polish also has ultra small black squares. Application was a breeze!

This is two coats of Vivid Lacquer Hivemind over Sinful Colors Hazard. Photos show two coats of top coat.

This is two coats of Vivid Lacquer Sketchbook (pointer and ring) and two coats of Vivid Lacquer Composition (middle and pinky) over Spoiled Tip Your Waitress. Photos show one coat of top coat. These polishes are filled with black and white glitter, and Sketchbook has a subtle shimmer to it! Application was easy!

This is two coats of Vivid Lacquer Notebook Paper over Sinful Colors Innocent. To apply this polish, I put a little on a piece of paper and then dabbed it on my nails. Photos show two coats of top coat. I love that pop of coral.

This is one coat of Vivid Lacquer Assemble. Its black jelly base was a bit light for me to layer on its own, so I layered it over black. I think the glitter is having trouble popping over the black base though. Photos show one coat of top coat.

These polishes were sent for review.

Introducing my top coat fail.... Check out that middle finger =(

I don't normally have trouble with my top coat smearing my stamped design, but this time I had a total fail. I used China Glaze Fast Forward top coat, but I always use that top coat. So I think I just applied it wrong (like enough polish wasn't on my brush or something). Oh well! I still thought it was cute! This is two coats of Sinful Colors Cream Pink and two coats of Spoiled Correction Tape on my pinky. Both stamped designs came from the Bundle Monster BM-316 plate (using Konad stamping polish in white).

This is two coats of The Nail Junkie Matte Rose. I absolutely adore this soft matte pink with its subtle silver shimmer.

Over The Nail Junkie Matte Rose, I added one coat of The Nail Junkie Flamingo. This polish has a soft shimmery pink base as well. It has a frosty/creamy finish with clear and matte white glitter.  The clear glitter has a subtle holo appearance and gives texture to the polish. Photos show one coat of top coat.

Recently my husband and I spent a week in the U.S. Virgin Islands (St Thomas), and I thought I would show you some pics from our vacation as well as my mani. Unfortunately, my nails only lasted about two days. They started to peel. I normally don't have that problem, so I assume its from the salt water. I ended up going to the spa to get my nails repainted. No way I was going to spend the rest of the week with half bare and half painted nails.

Below is what I used on each nail. I started with a base coat and then stamped each nail with Konad White stamping polish and a dot pattern from DRK-A stamping Plate as a template. I used a dotting tool to add the colored dots.

Pinky- base color: Girly Bits Banana Hammock, dots: Sinful Colors Cream Pink and Konad White
Ring- base color: Sinful Colors Cream Pink, dots: Sinful Colors Rain Storm and Konad White
Middle- base color: Sinful Colors Innocent, dots: Sinful Colors Amethyst and Konad White
Pointer- base color: Sinful Colors Rain Storm, dots: Konad White and Konad Yellow
Thumb (not pictured): base color- Sinful Colors Amethyst, dots: Sinful Colors Innocent and Konad White

Today I have swatches from SoFlaJo's Terrified Collection! This is such a great Halloween collection. I like how the polishes can be worn alone or layered. Application was spot on with each! Jody also puts a unique spin on her packaging! I don't want to spoil the secret, but your goody bag will have a Halloween twist!

You can visit Jody's shop by clicking here.
You can also find SoFlaJo on Etsy and Facebook!

First up is three coats SoFlaJo Frankie's Lab Dance alone! Photos show one coat of top coat. The base color of this polish is unique. It is an iridescent green, but almost has the appearance of color shifting?!! It is loaded with orange, purple, and green glitter! I bet this would look awesome layered over black!

This is two coats of SoFlaJo The True Death with one coat of top coat. This polish is really pretty, dark, and perfect for the Fall. Its black base is filled with a red and silver/gold shimmer.

Over SoFlaJo The True Death, I layered two coats of SoFlaJo Ghost of a Chance. I love the grey appearance with the shift of blue and green shimmer!

An awesome deep purple loaded with purple, silver, and gold holo glitter!!! This is three coats of SoFlaJo Purple Reign of Terror. Pretty!!!!

And my favorite out of the five is this one! This is three coats of SoFlaJo Spider Funk with no top coat. This polish has a matte orange-y tan base loaded with orange, gold, and black glitter! It reminds me of a pumpkin with an evil twist (from the black square glitter)!!!! Perfect for Halloween and the Fall!

These polishes were sent to me for review.
